US - $286bn highway bill passed

US President George W. Bush has signed a $286.5bn highway bill which will fund new road and mass transit construction as well as the upgrading of existing roads, bridges etc. for the next six years. The project itinerary includes a new $231 million bridge in Anchorage and a $2.3 million landscaping project in California.
