22 November 2006 US GDP growth forecast trimmed Fuelled by a decline in the US housing market, the US government has revised down its forecasts for economic growth. The Bush administration now expects GDP to grow by 3.1% in 2006 as opposed to earlier forecasts of 3.6%. At the same time, growth forecasts for next year were also trimmed from 3.3% to 2.9%.
