UK Construction Orders up 7% during 2005

New construction orders in 2005 rose by seven per cent compared to orders in 2004 according to statistics published by the Dti today.

The table below summarises the major sector movements.

Public New Housing 8%

Private New Housing 5%

Infrastructure 35%

Private Industrial 23%

Public Non-Residential -9%

Private Commercial 3%
