UK Consumer Price Inflation Down

The Office of National Statistics (ONS) has reported that the Consumer Price Index (CPI) has risen by 2.1% in the year to November, down from 2.3% in October.

The lower inflation levels are primarily due to lower fuel and lubricant prices as petrol prices fell in November.

The All-items Retail Price Index (RPI) recorded a 2.4% increase, down from 2.5% in October.

The All-items excluding mortgage interest payments (RPIX) rose by 2.3%, down from the 2.4% recorded in October.
