02 May 2007 Thailand’s Inflation dropped in April Thailand’s year-on-year inflation rate slipped to 1.8% in April from 2.0% in March, the lowest level in more than three years. The cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages, which hold the largest weighting in the consumer price index, rose by 3.3% year on year, the smallest gain in seven months. Non-food price growth edged down to 0.9% from 1% in March.
