Statistics South Africa has reported that year-on-year consumer price index excluding mortgage rate changes (CPIX) has increased to 4.2% in July from 3.5% in June. Similarly, the year-on-year consumer price index (CPI) rose by 3.4% in July form 2.8 % in June.
