Pakistan Consumer Price Inflation Rises

The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) has reported on its quarterly economic indicators for Pakistan that year-on-year the Consumer Price Index (CPI) has risen by 9.9% in 2Q2005 from 9.5% in 1Q2005.

The higher inflation level is due to higher food price inflation which accounts for 60% of the overall consumer price index.
