10 July 2006 Argentina: Inflation drops Price pressures in Argentina eased further during June, according to INDEC, the national statistics institute. Inflation fell to 11% year on year from 11.5% in May, to mark the slowest pace of price growth in eight months. Although inflationary pressures have eased slightly during the first half of 2006, inflation still remains at a high level and indications point towards prices rising by an average of 11% for the year as a whole.
